Reason Why Every Year’s the Same Career Wise

bakit walang nangyayari sa buhay ko?, bakit walang nangyayari?

This is the question I’ve been asking myself for a very long time.

Especially for minimum wage earners like us.

Why despite hard work we put in

to improve ourselves,
create a budget week after week just to save money
and try so hard to get that promotion,

it never seems enough in terms of finances.

We still crave to experience that dream vacation or buy that appliance we like which leads us to work even harder to afford those.

So what is the problem?

Aren't we working hard enough?

Are we just lazy that is why we cannot achieve that financial breakthrough?

The problem is we rely on active income.

Having a job is great but active income is equivalent to our precious time.

Exchanging our valuable time with money is not the best way to achieve financial success.

Why?

Because if you are unable to provide time you will not get active income.

What can be the reasons why you can’t provide time?

1.       Not feeling well.
2.     Need time for family.
3.     A long vacation.

Get it?

If you can’t give your time to someone (your employer) nobody will pay you money.

This will result to problems especially to our basic needs;

          Food
          Clothing
          Transportation
          Utility Bills (water, electricity, internet)

If you are earning minimum wage, of course, your net pay will decrease because of unexpected times that you can’t go to work..

And that only means you need to get your hard earned savings to patch for the loss income for the month.

For us, minimum wage earners, our salary is almost consumable. Yes, we save a little but most of the money is just enough for our basic needs.

How to stop the cycle?

How to stop feeling that nothing’s happening year after year?

You have to think of a way to earn money without exchanging a lot of your time.

That is why there’s a lot of financial gurus out there that recommends the following;

1.       Passive Income thru Stock Market
2.     Renting Properties
3.     Hire People and Use their Time to Work for You (Like most small businesses do they hire people to sell their product so they still have time to do other things like checking the inventory or taking care of the marketing of the business)
4.     Writing a Book

With all of these strategies, you notice that these things still require time, especially when you are just starting out but nevertheless, after you pass through the learning phase the time and the effort you need to run these businesses will relatively becomes less as to compare with working as an employee.

Final Thoughts

This is quite an unconventional approach especially for us with Employee Mentality.

We are raised to find a good company and work there for years until retirement.

But times have changed, especially when you are just starting out as a minimum wage earner, minimum wage is just enough for basic expenses especially here in the Philippines, so having a financial goal is what everyone’s after and I think is a sane thing to do.

So if ever you think why your finances’ are the same year after year, now you know the answer.

The idea is to think of anything that doesn’t require too much of your time in the long run, something that will give you income whether you work or not, of if you do need to work, it just requires small amount of your time, it doesn’t have to be the examples I’ve given up there, use your imagination and create it.

That is it for now.
