Paano ba talaga mag-budget? Let's start!

Let’s break up usual priorities.

Four basic things that every household requires;

Eto na yung naiisip kong lahat ng pamilya ay kailangan.

·        Utility expense (meralco, maynilad, internet)

·        Food budget

·        School and transportation

·        Home supplies

How to achieve success in budgeting?

The best way to answer that question is to compare good vs a better way to budget. 

Here are two examples of people with good budget skills vs with wise budget skills.

What did you notice between the two?

Both families have the same amount of expenses but the second family manage to lessen those expenses by doing few practical steps.

You will instantly notice that in the long run, having practical plants and simple ice business at home can be really helpful and release your breadwinner ( or anyone who earn money for the family) from putting more money on the table at times when price of basic necessities rises.

·        Initial Capital for Ice =  Ice Bag 20 Pesos

·        Initial Capital for Kalamansi Plant = 350Pesos + 25Pesos Vermicast P375

(please get the marcoted kalamansi because it will take 3 years for a seedling to produce plant that is why the price here is high, by getting the marcotted kalamansi it will just take a while for it to produce fruit, no excuse too for not having a place because you can plant these on container)

·        Initial Capital for loading business  = 200Pesos for G-cash or paymaya.

(if you have a lot of customer, investing on retailer sim is ok, but you can still earn money from having gcash or paymaya because there is 5% rebate on every load you send and the usual practice is to add 3 pesos on top of it)

You notice that in this example we did not focus on cutting back even more on food allowance. For me cutting back on food is the worst kind of budgeting (I experience first hand that that is not the best solution for acquiring more money, please check out my old post about baon ideas)

The main focus of budgeting here is to add more income.

The higher the income you have, the more room you have for savings or other important things.

Final Thoughts

It’s nearly impossible to budget for the family if you lack money.

So the easiest way to fix budget problems is to earn more.

Additionally, these things doesn’t take too much of your time too. You can easily do the task for less than an hour.
