Generally speaking people will always have
misunderstandings.
Beliefs in life can be one of the reasons
why,..
Probably we can enumerate many many reasons.
This is especially true to people in the community, our relatives or workmates.
Here are some verses to ponder and hopefully can give us light on why people attack others.
A mouthpiece of the enemy.
Job
2:9
His wife said to him, “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse
God and die!”
Putting yourself first over others.
Genesis
31:1-2
Jacob heard that Laban’s sons were saying, “Jacob has taken everything
our father owned and has gained all this wealth from what belonged to our father,”
And Jacob noticed that Laban’s attitude toward him was not what it had been.
Genesis 26:14-17
He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied
him. So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his
father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.
Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too
powerful for us.”
So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and
settled there.
Genesis 26:19-22
Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water
there. But the herdsmen of Gerar quarrelled with Isaac’s herdsmen and said, “The water is ours!” So he named the well Esek,
because they disputed with him. Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over
that one also; so he named it Sitnah. He moved on from there and dug another
well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, “Now the LORD
has given us room and we will flourish in the land.”
Potiphar’s wife Telling Lies about Joseph
Genesis 39:14-15
She called her household servants. “Look,” she said to them, “this
Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep
with me, but I screamed. When he heard me scream for help, he left hs cloak
beside me and ran out of the house.”
Final Thoughts
Whatever good you are doing, people will find ways to fight with you.
That is not because you did something wrong but
at times a person’s heart can be filled with selfish and evil thoughts.
I hope you read on all these verses and
continue reading on what did the righteous people of God do to address the
situation.
You will find later on that God favors the
righteous in the long run.
So hang in there and put a great perspective in
mind on dealing on with this kind of chaos in your life.
