Role models

Now that I am 35, I definitely understand the importance of having role models.

Especially in my time, the only role models I see are personalities on tv which mainly dont portray proper character to live a better life.

I often just see personalities wherein the more they insult people the more popular they are. The more you make yourself look better than others the better and apparently people will like you but that doesn't really happen in real life but only on variety shows 😞. Which is kind of scary, because in a real world, when you try to build business or work in a corporate job being arrogant, boastful and foul mouthed is the last thing you should do if you want to have a harmonious relationship with your colleagues or everyone else in general.

I think the famous person that I look up to now is Dave Ramsey when I have read his book The legacy Journey. It's pretty much describes his ups and downs, path to knowing his faith and how should he treat his money.

I really think that this book has given me a online role model that I can copy because Dave Ramsey has shown his time when he was bankrupt which I can relate. (Not that I am bankrupt but if you follow my blog, you know I lost a lot on money in trading Forex and stocks.)

I can really relate to him because I am too is chasing money success/financial freedom blindly. And upon my downfall, I do not know what to do next?

I think that role models are really important so I can have a good idea on how to treat money so in turn I make better decisions. Truthfully earning money is a big goal for me that time and I was so devastated when I lost it.

But having a good Christian role model who teach about money like Dave Ramsey has opened my eyes not to be devastated.

My then greatest goal to be rich has been humbled down and not my priority anymore. Although I still have to check it in my heart sometimes because I really admit that I like material things, but at least I am learning that I should check my heart and stop myself from wanting things that I cannot bring when my physical body dies.

Anyway enough about my story, I actually wanted to write this post because of Andrea Brillantes. I really think that she is so beautiful but the persona that is being portrayed about her is copied from a person was from comedy shows. Sorry for being judgemental but I just feel like Andrea doesn't have the right role models around her. But she is still young and there are a lot of opportunities to meet someone as her good role model ♥️. And I genuinely hope she finds it soon because I see a lot of potential in her.

Going back to make my final point, role models are really important. I hope many people will have good role models at a very young age, you know for the obvious reasons. Actually, I was thinking would it be different if I knew about Dave Ramsey when I was in my early 20's?  Maybe yes maybe no? Either way I now live in the present hence I just have to live it from this point on. With the right role model, I do not feel as devastated as before. I do not feel lost and I have better clarity on what my priorities are due to the teachings of my role model. I think I'll end it here.

That is it for now.

Its easy to under eat on carnivore or low carb diet

Warning: This is another rant.

Being in a carnivore/lion or low carb diet here in the Philippines is really hard. Given the usual food choices in the usual places like mall or work place, the meat to carb ratio is really awful.

Even if at least you eat a small amount of rice, the meat on most meals are tiny.

And those small portions of meat especially with beef ulam (valiant) is so insignificant in which may result to undereating and starvation if in case you do not have enough budget to buy more.

That is why if you have inflammation to your body and eating too much carbs affect your life like I do and you are earning minimum wage here in the Philippines I would say it's really tragic. Almost 60% of my budget is dedicated to buying beef to prepare at home. If in case I wanted some junk outside and buy at fast foods I have to increase my budget.

I really feel defeated sometimes because I am not a great cook and I sometimes despise my own cooking.

But for a good quality cut of ribeye, thankfully I get to learn to cook it and truthfully enjoy eating it l. (Here's the linkof the YouTube video I follow on cooking steak in a pan).

Anyway, the reason for this rant is because I still feel hungry, as much as I wanted to increase my meat intake I despise my cooking so much that I had enough (example of my cooking are beef bicol express, sometimes beef stew).

And now, I couldn't find ribeye steaks at my local meatshop ( Monterey Tungko SJDM), because they are out.

Apparently, they say they have to wait for the store to buy another carcass of beef to have ribeye. And I went there for 3 weeks already and their stock of beef (not steak) is still a lot, enough reason not to buy another carcass of beef.

Anyway, I am really finding it hard to increase my beef intake and not go to starvation mode. With limited budget,  resources and skills its really hard to go low carb/ carnivore diet 😞.... this really is becoming a rant.

I especially feel alone too, because people who try carnivore diet wanted to lose weight, in which I am the opposite. I am too skinny already and my goal is to gain more kilos.... hence I have to eat more.

I hope I get better at cooking, at least I can make a cheap cut of beef tasty enough for me to eat it for the next two weeks. (That's what I do, I cook a big batch and freeze it then eat it fo the whole week). It will be so much better financially, and I really hope I can finally find my ribeye steak near my location. (I will try to look for it at Fairview Terraces or Robinson Fairview, if not, Monterey Novaliches- found out no Monterey in the market I went to, and if I have budget I like to look at S n R near SM Fairview. And the last option is online.😞 -Its just nerve wracking to buy meat online delivered at your door step because you wouldn't know the quality until you receive it....) plot twist.. I did not find ribeye but I am able to buy t bone for a cheap price and better quality at Cions Meat shop- and upon talking to the butcher, they always have ribeye in the morning I just need to be there early. I am excited to go there next week, even if the ribeye cut is not that fatty, I will see if I like it, buy initially I think its ok because their beef are locally sourced and is fresh everyday.

Well anyway, I have shared a lot of my worries plus plot twist already.

Thank you so much for reading all the way.
