Measurable Vision Board

I have no luck on my vision board last year, as you all know.

My year went really bad with the job loss and plans about investment that didn’t went well.

I thought of not having another vision board this year because all it ever do to me is to focus my attention to getting a lot of money.

Uhmmm…

My vision board pretty much reflects a millionaire so I can’t help but force myself to earn lot and lots of money.

However…,

With all the failures I have, I think that God continues to humbles me and refocus my attention to much important things.

Measurable Vision Board- A vision board that Tells You Your Progress

So with this measurable vision board I made, not only I included my money goals but I also included my Spiritual goals.

A leap from just having selfish goals like money, career and self image, I made sure that I included my Spiritual goals this time.

It includes questions like;

Have I been constantly doing small good deeds that I think God would be happy about?

Action Driven vs Results Driven

This vision board mission is not to focus on the result, but just to let me know if I am doing something, even how small it is, to make that vision happen.

With the money goals, I try not to divulge myself into it too much, because as you all know, money is not the motivation for me now.

Money will help, but I have to steer my heart away from it, because in the past, I actually hated God for not having enough money.

True to what the Jesus said on Mathew 6:24

You cannot serve two master, you will love one and despise the other. You cannot love both God and money.

Back to Measurable Vision Board..

How does it become measurable?

Let me have an example with my body goals.

Check out my post about 2020 Body Goals | New Year's Resolution

Aside from putting my pre-measurement and a picture of a celebrity that I admire, Kylie Jenner, I also put a small question on the side.

          # of Exercise per Week

          # How many times I skip

I also put what kind of exercise I should be doing, so I put squat jump, 5 right, 5 left and lift dumbbells.

I also put a clear pocket in them and rolled out colored paper to know the number of times I did the exercise or how many times I skipped.

I think that having these interactive questions wakes up my brain even more to do little exercises to reach my desired body goal, rather than just looking at the vision board.

And wishing that I have a body like Kylie Jenner.

This is the tweak I learned from Atomic Habits, I suppose, and finally applying what I learned with this measurable vision board.

Just like James Clear says, the more rolled paper I put on the pockets, that means I vote more on becoming the person I wanted to be.

The lesser rolled paper, means I am not making my dream a reality, so don’t expect to have a Kylie Jenner body as well.

It's measurable in a way, because I can have a grasp of how many exercise I did in a week to get my desired body. But, it will not be perfect of course because I cannot fit-in a year worth of rolled paper to the small pockets I made in the book (that is where I made my vision board so no one can see it). Roughly you will have the feel if I did something about a specific goal or not.

I also put my skin goals in there.

And put the question, how many times I washed my face with warm water?

I just simplified the question because whenever I wash my face with warm water, it automatically means that I will do my pimple routine.

I wrote a post about that Get Rid of Pimples in 7 Days PH.

With my Spiritual Goals, I put the question how many people who needed help did I turned down.

Or maybe I can add, how many disagreements did I prevented from happening.

          Romans 12:18

If its possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Everyone should be at peace with others.

I also put my investment goals and write in the questions, how many trades I did in a month.

Formula for a Measurable Vision Board

1.       Put a Picture of the Desired Result

2.     Write in Questions How Many, How Much in A week or Month
3.  Make Your Vision Board Interactive by Adding Pockets or Stickers With the intention of Clearly defining the answer to the questions you write in.

Final Thoughts

All these goals doesn’t have an end date as to when I will achieve them, although they all have a start date.

The main focus of this vision board is just to measure how much effort I am putting in to make these visions a reality.

The lesser effort I make, will just mean I don’t have to expect too much. So I wont devastate myself next year or next month that nothing happens in my life.

That is it.
