Who would have thought “the emergency” you are preparing for is going to happen this 2020?

It is a surprise to everyone that Covid 19 would stop almost everything.

Work

Public Transport

Malls

All kinds of entertainment

Even shopping for essential food items is somewhat ‘harder’.

Savings Saved Me!

Having money saved enough to buy basic food necessities for a month is really a God given provision.

Now many Filipino’s realize that saving money really is an essential afterall.

A lot of stories from Facebook too showing their Piggy bank and how did it relieve their minds from worries of having no work for a month in accordance to Enhanced Community Quarantine.

But you all know my thoughts about saving money for the sake of just saving.

          How I disagree on saving money for the sake of keeping it for retirement until the age of 60.

          It’s a blessing to use your piggy bank savings right now in times of calamity, but this will cover just a specific period of time.

          Piggy bank resources have limits, for some family it can last for two months, three months or more.

Here we can see a lot of disadvantage of an active income or what we

commonly known as being an employee.

          You are at the mercy for your employer.

Some employees are really blessed to have employers who continuously pay salaries despite community quarantine.

Others are no work no pay, which is sad knowing its hard to put food at the table if your solely relying on being an employee.

Others are grateful for Barangay level officials for being trustworthy on this pandemic.

While others are waiting and ranting their hearts out on social media platform to get attention from public officials to act now and give relief goods.

Final Thoughts

Hope we all learn that being an employee and relying on active income can turn against you instantly.

Piggy savings are all good in times of calamity but the real source of poverty is really relying on being an employee.

For all we know, a certain work can disappear instantly like what happened in this  pandemic Covid 19 Virus. No work, no salary. 

That is something nobody wants to be in at any time.
