Pay Meralco No Convenience Fee Using Gcash

Community quarantine has forced a lot of us to be learn online things and that includes paying bills online.

Yes, we always pay all our bills the traditional way.

And that is to fall in line inside a bayad center, present your bill and pay in cash.

But since covid 19 is lurking around and who knows who could be a possible carrier, we like to lessen our contact to other people as much as possible just to be in the safer side.

So we have to find a way to pay our electricity.

So we downloaded the meralco app.

It should have been really easy, because you can pay your Meralco bill on the mobile app itself.

But one thing is bothering though and that is the convenience fee of 47.00 pesos.

Is there a way to pay meralco, no convenience fee?

Yes.

Because with the uproar of the masses, Meralco was forced to refund convenience fee at least as I have experience with G-cash.

Paymaya will refund 47.00 pesos convenience fee as well.

So if you happen to pay using these two mobile wallet, then your lucky to avoid the meralco convenience fee.

How to Pay Meralco Bill No Convenience Fee Using Gcash

Select the bill month you want to pay.

Enter your Gcash Details

You will notice that Meralco App still requires you to add 47.00 convenience fee but don’t worry, they will refund it in a month. (that’s my experience is)

Paying Meralco Bill Using Gcash App

I have tried paying meralco bill using gcash app alone and as far as I can remember, they don’t ask for any convenience fee there too. Which is nice.

But the only downside is inputting your 20 plus digit Meralco Reference Number which is kind of a hassle.

Especially you don’t want to make a mistake so your payment will be posted without any problems.

I think the best way to pay your electricity is still thru meralco app.

You don’t have to input anything and you are somewhat relieved because you know your payment will be posted on the spot.
